Winey Wednesday – Disney’s Food & Wine Review – New Zealand

Post by MickeyMouse71   /

I’ve never been able to try any of the foods at New Zealand because of the spices used.  So, as you can imagine I was pretty excited to be with someone who was passionate about mussels.  She has had the opportunity to experience mussels from different places so I was eager to see what she thought of the mussels located at the New Zealand kiosk.  Below are her thoughts on what she tried.

STEAMED GREEN LIP MUSSELS – SERVED WITH GARLIC BUTTER AND TOASTED BREADCRUMBS – $4.50

The size was bigger than usual mussels and they were steamed perfectly, not chewy.  The garlic was flavorful and not overpowering.  The breadcrumbs added a great crispy texture, something completely unexpected.  They were very fresh tasting and are definitely worth the cost.

Although I don’t get to try some of these amazing foods, it is so much fun to watch and hear what others have to say and if they would recommend these foods to others.  So if you are a mussels type of person, this is the place to eat some good ones.  Thanks Darby for your recommendation.  Enjoy fall at Epcot’s International Food & Wine Festival.
