When in Mexico, drink margaritas and eat dessert!!  No better place in Epcot than Mexico to drink a margarita.  Since I can’t eat many of the food items, I stick to the drinks and desserts.  When we made our second stop, I was hungry and ready to try something new.  The biggest decision I had to make that early in the day was a margarita or sangria?  I decided to try the Mezcal Pineapple Margarita on the Rocks and the Flan de Chocolate Abuelita.

MEZCAL PINEAPPLE MARGARITA ON THE ROCKS/FLAN de CHOCOLATE ABUELITA – $9.25/$3.95

The pairing of this margarita with the chocolate flan was a wonderful selection.  I thoroughly enjoyed the pineapple in the margarita as it gave it a sweetness without overpowering the tequila, which as you can imagine is quite flavorful by itself.  The chocolate flan had a rich chocolate flavor and the custard style center melted in your mouth.  I loved breaking through the flambé coating on the top.  This sugary topping was the perfect touch to this dessert.

I sure hope when I return that these two items are still on the menu in Mexico.  I also can’t wait to try the Mexican Style Red Sangria.  Let me know how I can help you get to Epcot’s Mexico for some wonderful tequila and tasty food.
