“Winey” Wednesday – Disney’s Food & Wine Review – Hawaii
What comes to mind when you think Hawaii? I’m hearing Luau music, smelling pork, and enjoying the breeze off the ocean. I think it would be wonderful to be in Hawaii enjoying these things, but the Hawaii kiosk in Epcot was pretty wonderful. I love a good mai tai but I would say that this is definitely one of the best ones I’ve had. This kiosk was also one of the best decorated and festive ones we visited.
KALUA PORK SLIDER – $4.25
This was a fantastic snack for my husband and he said one of the best snacks for his money. The meat was moist and tender and had a hint of sweetness. The bun also had a hint of sweetness and was a good blend with the pork. He said that he would absolutely come back for this slider.
MAI TAI – $8.50
I love the rum in a mai tai and the rum used in this drink had a rich, smooth taste. The mix of the rum with the fruit gave it a hint of sweetness mixed with the right amount of alcohol.
I hope that if you visit the Epcot Food & Wine Festival this year you have a chance to stop by the Hawaii kiosk and enjoy some tropical goodies. Let me know how I can help you plan a getaway to this amazing festival.
