“Winey” Wednesday – Disney’s Food & Wine Review – Brazil

As many of you might experience, finding enjoyable and tasty Gluten Free foods, especially bread, can be very trying.  I must say that Disney has more options than most places and in most cases those flavors and tastes are delightful.

However, the Brazil kiosk at Epcot’s International Food & Wine Festival had the most incredible bread that I’ve had in a long time.  Bread is my biggest challenge when having to eat Gluten Free and the choices are extremely limited.  As you can imagine finding tasty bread made me feel that my day was a success.

PAO DE QUEIJO – BRAZILLIAN CHEESE BREAD (GF) – $3.75

I was excited to try the Pao de Queijo Brazillian cheese bread but was also a little reserved.  I’m so glad I made the choice to try this bread.  The bread itself was soft and the center was filled with a creamy cheese.  Not like a cream cheese, but more of a cheddar cheese that had been melted within the bread.  The infusion of the cheese into the bread is what gave it the rich flavor and kept the GF bread from falling apart.  Dry, crumbling bread is the biggest problem when looking for a GF bread and it was fantastic to find a bread that tasted so good.  My husband who really enjoys bread as well also said that if he didn’t know it was GF by the menu, he wouldn’t have known it.  I would say that is a great sign of an amazing bread and something I could eat at every meal.

If you’re looking for a fun place to try some amazing food, now is the time to book a vacation to Disney World and enjoy Epcot’s International Food & Wine Festival this fall.
