Just weeks from now “The World’s Most Magical Celebration” will begin at Walt Disney World to commemorate 50 years of magical memories. This anniversary celebration will include new fireworks shows, food options, collectibles, events and so much more. In January runDisney will commemorate the 50th anniversary by calling all runners to the Walt Disney World Marathon which is one of the years most anticipated runDisney events. The elegance of this years EARidescent medals and Disney World’s 50th birthday, will bring runners from near and far to be a part of this occasion. I can’t wait to do the 5k event in January with Little Mouse. We are going to have so much fun celebrating Disney World’s 50th birthday.

Pluto kicks off the race weekend with the 5k event. These “dog” sized medals are magnificent and have spinners in them with the 50th on one side and the 5k on the other. I can’t wait to see this in person!!

Oswald is the Lucky Rabbit in charge of the 10k event and look how exquisite Spaceship Earth looks on this medal.

Celebrating 25 years of the Walt Disney World half marathon are Donald and Daisy to bring these medals home. You can show off both Donald and Daisy as these medals spin from the inside.

Finishing out the races are the hosts Mickey and Minnie with the marathon race. You can also spin this medal from the inside to see either of your favorite characters.

If you’re up for a real challenge then Goofy is here to help you have a fun time completing the marathon and half marathon with the Goofy Race and a Half Challenge. There won’t be any “goofing”around on these races but you might see him goofing around with this spinning medal.

Dopey is here to help you complete all 4 races which is 48.6 miles. This Dopey Challenge is not to be taken lightly.
