Prince Eric’s Village Market
How can you go wrong with a gigantic pretzel and a mermaid drink? Well I don’t think you can and after sitting and enjoying both, I highly recommend giving them a try.
Recently when I was in Magic Kingdom I was super surprised to see Prince Eric’s Village Market open, so I just had to stop by and get my large pretzel. To my surprise there was a blue raspberry, green apple Mermaid Slushy that I knew I was going to have to try.
I love the Mickey shaped pretzels that you can find throughout Disney properties, but this pretzel offers something different. First, and probably pretty obvious, is the size. This is definitely a snack that is a sharable. You can get it with cheese or if you prefer, mustard. I love a fresh pretzel with a spicy mustard and this didn’t disappoint. The outside has a nice crust while the middle is warm and soft. I consider most pretzels pretty plain in taste, so the mermaid slushy was a perfect match.
The mermaid slushy is blue raspberry and green apple flavors with whip cream and a mermaid tail on top. The green apple on the bottom has a very tart flavor while the blue raspberry is a little sweet and refreshing. Together they are an excellent combination. I mixed in the whip cream with the slushy and it gave it this very creamy taste. The mermaid tail is a sweet treat that adds just the right surprise to this drink. I think these two snack items are a perfect way to take a break while you’re in Fantasyland.
I love trying new foods throughout the parks and would love to hear what your favorite snack is while you’re in Disney?
