The Gingerbread House is being decorated at The Grand Floridian

So excited!!  That’s all, just thrilled to finally be here to see the construction of the gingerbread house at The Grand Floridian.  This is amazing to watch and something I’ve dreamed about doing for a long time.  There are numerous bakers here right now assembling the gingerbread house and each one is working on something specific.  This is exciting to watch live instead of on a Disney special.

This is the view from the upper balcony.  This gives you an idea of how big this project is and how many people are working on it.  Who would have thought you needed something other than a ladder (or even a ladder for that matter) to decorate a gingerbread house.

Here they are shaking powdered sugar onto the roof to make it look like snow on the shingles.

Click the link below to watch them putting the snow on the roof.

There is so much detail that you really need to take your time and enjoy.

Look at how many ingredients are needed to make a gingerbread house of this size.

I’ve always wanted to see this gingerbread house and watching it being worked on is even impressive than I could have imagined.  I will post pictures of the gingerbread house when it is all completed.
