Mickey Mouse sure has changed through the years. From 1928 to now he has had a variety of transformations and been in many character roles. As a music person I have to admit that one of my very favority Mickey characters is when he is the band leader. It just makes my heart happy to see him leading a band and making incredible music. Disney has come out with a wonderful array of merchandise to honor the one and only Mickey Mouse and these items can be found throughout the parks. It seems that new things to celebrate Mickey Mouse are always being released, so keep watching and I will continue to post pictures as I find them.

Fantasia is one of the all-time greatest Disney animated films and if you haven’t had a chance to see it, I recommend taking some time to sit down and enjoy this classic film. The original was released in 1940 and is the 23rd highest grossing film of all time in the United States. (This ranking is figured when adjusted for inflation). The sequel Fantasia 2000 was released in 1999 and co-produced by Roy E. Disney. In 1998 Fantasia was ranked as the 58th greatest American film in their 100 Years…100 Movies by the American Film Institute. It is also the 5th greatest animated film in their top 10 list. There probably isn’t anything more I can say to convince you to watch this movie, but if there was, I would say the music is extraordinary and Sorcerer Mickey is one of the greatest icons of Disney. To really know Disney and Mickey, is to know Fantasia.  I hope you enjoy this animated classic as much as I do.
