Disney World through the eyes of a teenager – Part 5

Wow what an exciting day 5. It began with their performance in Disney Springs at the Waterside Stage.  These musicians did an incredible job and I couldn’t be more proud of Kylee and all the band and orchestra kids. This will be something they will remember for the rest of their lives. I heard from some of them and they said it was just exhilarating and so very inspiring to be able to perform in such a location as Disney.

Once their performance was over they headed back to the hotel to change and get ready for an afternoon/evening of fun at Hollywood Studios. The rides all had long wait times but when you’re spending time with friends the time goes by quicker.  A few of the rides they did wait for were Star Tours, Hollywood Tower of Terror and Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster. Star Tours already has newly added scenes from the newest movie – Star Wars – The Force Awakens.  Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster is a high-speed coaster with a start of 0-57 mph in 2.8 seconds, better keep your head back at the start of this ride. From there be prepared for some inversions and serious speed.

To start to bring the evening to a close we watched the newest fireworks show, Symphony in the Stars, explode over The Great Movie Ride. This show is set to music by John Williams from the Star Wars movies.  I can’t quite put into words how magnificent this show is.  (More to come on all the Star Wars events and activities that are now found around the park in a future blog.)  Make sure that you have an opportunity to experience this heart pounding fireworks show.

As one last group activity they were planning on viewing Fantasmic, but sadly the event was cancelled.  Instead they had the option to ride a few last rides, head to Disney Springs or head back to their hotel.  It seems that many opted to not let their evening come to a close so they headed for a quick trip to Disney Springs.

Tomorrow is their final day here in Florida.  Be sure to check back to see how their magical vacation ended.  Kylee your pictures are so much fun to see where you and your friends have visited and what you have enjoyed experiencing.  Thank You!!
