Millennium Falcon Smugglers Run

Post by Traci   /

Entering the world of Star Wars:Galaxy’s Edge was spectacular. I can’t even express how excited I was to see the Millennium Falcon. (Han Solo is my favorite character). Finally being able to see it up close was even more impressive than I could have ever imagined. There is so much detail and I found that I just wanted to stand there and take it all in. The queue line for Smugglers Run kept you engaged from the moment you entered until the very end of the ride. Walking through the hallways of the Millennium Falcon was so realistic and I enjoyed this as much as the ride itself. The ride includes 6 people per cockpit; 2 pilots, 2 gunners and 2 engineers. Little Mouse and I were able to be a gunners which was a pretty fun “job” to have and the pilots seemed to be having fun too. My good friend was one of the engineers and she said the ride was good, but the “job” she had really didn’t do too much. From what I’ve been told each time you ride Smugglers Run it will be an exciting new experience because you will always be with a new crew. I can’t wait to fly again and I hope I get to be a pilot.

When you’re in the lounge area also be sure and look for other trinkets that will include the blast shield that Luke used in A New Hope along with the training droid.

Being “inside” the Millennium Falcon was so realistic and was a dream come true. Disney Imagineers outdid themselves with this part of the ride. I’ve watched these movies my whole life and to actually be inside the Falcon walking the halls was beyond words, almost unbelievable.
