“Winey” Wednesday – Disney’s Food & Wine Review – Africa

As we crossed over the bridge into Africa a most amazing smell came over us.  We soon realized that this wonderful aroma was coming from the Africa kiosk.  We guessed that the smell was from the beef and not the chicken, so my husband decided that the beef tips was next on his list to try.

BERBERE-STYLE BEEF TENDERLOIN TIPS – $5.00

The magnificent smell was in fact coming from the beef tips and from bite one he was hooked.  He said the pap, which in Africa is a porridge or polenta, really balanced out the spice in the beef.  The spice was well balanced and probably depended on the heat of the jalapenos that gave it this delightful flavor.  He said the spice lasts until the end so watch out and have something ready to drink.  With everything we had tried so far, this was his favorite dish.

It amazes me all the unique choices that are offered throughout the different country kiosks.  I am looking forward to going back and trying new things.  Let me help you book a fun filled food and wine trip to Epcot this fall.
