Tour Thursday – Butterfly House – Epcot

Post by MickeyMouse71   /

I’ll be honest it isn’t a house but a tent, yet the complete title this year at The Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival was “Goodness Garden Butterfly House”. Whether you call it a house, tent or garden this was a spectacular thing to see and the butterflies were beautiful. It was more amazing than I can describe and if you are able to get to the Flower & Garden Festival next year, make sure you take a tour through this “house”. I’m hopeful that it will return as I know it has been a huge success this year and in past years. I’ve been to a rather large butterfly pavilion, but this was so much more personal and I think you were able to see more butterflies up close. This experience is well worth the time and it is always nice to find a peaceful place in a Disney theme park.

A caterpillar just waiting to become a beautiful butterfly.
Here is a box that housed the many different chrysalis before they became magnificent butterflies.

Thankfully they had many signs placed throughout the tent so you knew what kind of butterflies to look for. One sign also gave you an idea of how to plant a butterfly flower garden to attract certain types of butterflies.

I saved going through the butterfly house until almost the end of The Flower & Garden Festival this year and it was worth the wait. There were so many amazing things to see and do during the Flower & Garden Festival but this was one of my favorites. The whole festival was breathtaking and I’m already looking forward to next year. If you are ready to get away next Spring to a beautiful sunny location, let me know how I can help you plan your escape to Disney World or to any Disney destination.
