Amorette’s Patisserie has so many delicious offerings it is hard to not keep going back. This time I decided to try the “Blood Orange Mousse” and as always I found something else I love.
The presentation of this dessert was appealing and gave you the sense that you were going to be trying a refreshing orange treat. The glaze on top had a hint of orange but wasn’t overly sweet. The inside mousse was light and paired well with the lemon chiffon cake. I enjoyed the flavor of the cake but I do think they could have had a little more cake to balance out the richness of the mousse. It was filled with a grapefruit gelee, or jellied food. This was delightful and I wish there had been more of this in the middle. This grapefruit flavor really brought the whole dessert together for me.
If you are looking for a lighter treat in Disney Springs, or maybe just something different than chocolate, I suggest stopping in to Amorette’s to try the Blood Orange Mousse before it is gone on September 2nd. This is just one of many choices that you can find in Disney Springs during their Flavors of Florida celebration. Let me know what you have tried and your favorite “Flavors of Florida”.
