…Oh and 83 days until Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge opens in Hollywood Studios!! That’s right, the Food & Wine Festival and Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge open on the same day. This is why I love Disney, there is always something for everyone to enjoy! I’m super excited for the opening of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, but every year I look forward to the Food & Wine Festival. Last year was my first year being here for the entire festival and I loved it. It starts getting a little cooler in Florida and people are excited for fall festivities. (This year Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party will begin on August 16th – a little too early for me, but this shows how excited people are for fall here in Florida). I’m already looking forward to the Eat to the Beat Concerts and spending time with friends.
A fun fact for this years festival is that it will run for 87 days, the longest in park history, August 29th – November 23rd. There will also be new acts at the Eat to the Beat Concert Series that will include Sawyer Brown, Zach Williams, D’Capella, Kris Allen, Boyce Avenue and more. They will join returnings performers such as Mercy Me, Boyz II Men and many others. The concert schedule is also changing this fall and concerts Sunday through Thursday will be at 5:30pm, 6:45pm and 8:00pm and concerts on Fridays and Saturdays will be at 6:30pm, 7:45pm and 9:00pm. Like in years past there will be seminars and culinary demonstrations and on May 15th registration opened for dining events, pairings and workshops. 87 days gives you plenty of time to plan a fall escape to enjoy some beautiful weather and experience food opportunites from around the world. Let me know if you would like some information on this Festival and how I can help you plan a magical vacation.
Below are pictures of event merchandise that you will be able to find when the Festival opens on August 29th. There are so many cute things this year and I can’t wait to see other items that Disney will have for the festival.
