Early Release – Holiday Happenings at all 4 Theme Parks & Disney Springs

Post by MickeyMouse71   /

I know it seems early to be thinking about Christmas but here are some exciting things that will make you think if Disney should be your holiday destination.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom – There will be holiday celebrations in each land for the first time in park history

Beginning on November 8th, when you cross the bridge into Discovery Island you will find a winter celebration. According to Disney, during the day you will find life-sized animal puppets and by night the rooftops will illuminate in animal shapes and lanters througout Discovery Island. Also the Tree of Life will display a wintery tale backed by holiday music. In between the “awakening moments” of the Tree of Life, it will sparkle with the heart of the holidays.

Epcot – You will get to enjoy the Candelight Processional, holiday kitchens, Chip & Dale’s Tree Spree Scavenger Hunt and the new “Epcot Forever” nighttime show over World Showcase Lagoon

The Candlelight Processional will run from November 29th through December 30th with a celebrity line-up of narrators. You can also book a Candlelight Processional Dining Package beginning July 3rd at Epcotholidays.com or by calling 407-WDW-DINE. This is also something I can help you set up when you book a trip with To Infinity and Beyond Travel.

Special holiday kitchens will dish up delectable treats from across the world as the pavilions come alive with special decorations celebrating each country’s holiday traditions. Santa and Mrs. Claus will be greeting guests at The American Adventure pavilion which is always a special experience.

You can also participate in Chip & Dale’s Christmas Tree Spree Scavenger Hunt around the World Showcase. Once you have located Chip & Dale and their ornaments you can turn in your completed map for a special surprise. Beginning October 1st, the new “Epcot Forever” nighttime show over World Showcase Lagoon will be mesmerizing visitors. This will be something this holiday season you won’t want to miss.

Magic Kingdom – New fireworks show during Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party and other holiday events

This Christmas season join Minnie at Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party for an all new fireworks show featuring joyous Christmas songs including Joy to the World, Deck the Halls, Up on the Housetop and We Wish You a Merry Christmas. The new show will be on select nights from November 8th through December 22nd. There will be 23 magical nights that you can be a part of the Christmas party where you will also experience Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade, A Totally Tomorrowland Christmas and Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration Stage Show. Also be sure and watch Queen Elsa transform Cinderella Castle into a beautiful ice castle.

Hollywood Studios – Sunset Greetings & Special Holiday Entertainment

Hollywood Studios won’t be left out of the magical Christmas celebration and has many exciting things planned. Sunset Season Greetings is a projection show on the Hollywood Tower Hotel and is something so magical you will want to stop and enjoy the laser show and “snow” as it falls in central Florida. Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM! (starring Prep & Landing) will also be returning for the nighttime spectacular show in front of the Chinese Theatre.

Make some time for everyone’s favorite snowman, Olaf, as he joins “For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along” and delivers the special holiday finale.

Disney Springs – New Holiday Shopping, Christmas Tree Trail, Dining and More

Christmas festivities will begin November 8th and run through January 5th. This is a wonderful time of year in Disney Springs to enjoy fabulous shopping and sensational dining. There will be so much to explore and this year’s live entertainment will include toy soldier stilt walkers, carolers and living statues in holiday attire.

The Christmas Tree Trail was one of the most breathtaking experiences that I enjoyed last year. Each tree is decorated with a theme and I love how it snows while you are walking through the trail and enjoying Christmas music. You might even have time to enjoy some hot cocoa. While on the trail don’t forget to visit Santa and from December 25th through December 31st you can visit Santa Goofy (since Santa is recovering from delivering all those toys) at Santa’s Chalet.

Don’t forget to join in Stitch’s Holiday Gift Hunt and determine where Experiment 626 is hiding. There is so much to see and do in Disney Springs I recommend taking an afternoon or evening to take your time shopping and discovering all the Chrismtas experiences being offered.

I’m excited to help you plan a magical Christmas vacation for you and your family and to help you enjoy all of the magic that Disney provides during this most magical time of year. Thank you to Disney Destinations for providing all of this helpful information.
