Disney Villains After Hours

Post by MickeyMouse71   /

I’ve been very excited to share with you about the “Disney Villains After Hours” event, and after a short delay due to technical issues with my site, I’m ready to share pictures and my thoughts about the evening. (A big thank you to my cousin who helped me get back online).

Let’s begin with the most pressing issue on everyone’s mind and that is the price for the event. The price is $139.00 plus tax, and $109 plus tax if you are a passholder. Keep in mind these events do sell out and they have a limited number of tickets for passholders. The price does go up if you wait until the day of the event, so if you’re sure you are heading to Magic Kingdom for this event, buy your tickets early. It is a bit pricey but for what you are getting I highly recommend doing this at least one time. The party runs from 10:00pm – 1:00am but with the purchase of your ticket you can get into the park starting at 7:00pm. This gives you an extra 3 hours to do rides and also to catch the “Happily Ever After” fireworks show.

To give you an idea “Little Mouse” and I didn’t get there until 8:15pm and we were able to have our picture done with Mickey & Minnie, ride Pirates of the Caribbean and Haunted Mansion and watch the fireworks. From 10:00pm – 1:00am we were able to do 8 more rides, watch “Maleficent at Night” and “Villains Unite the Night”, enjoy the “Farewell” and then watch as Maleficent made her last appearance as she passed by the train station. We were also able to enjoy the free snacks and we purchased a few of the event snacks. (Watch for Tasty Tuesday and Winey Wednesday this week to see what we tried). As you can see you will be able to get lots accomplished during that 3 hours. What you do really depends on what you are looking for at the event. For some it is all about getting in as many rides as possible. For others they do a few rides but really want to catch all the shows. If you are a foodie, it might all be about trying the different snacks only offered during the event. So depending on what interests you, really depends on how much and what you get done. However, know that the availability to achieve lots of ride, shows and foods, are all possible. I should also mention that unlimited pop/water, popcorn and ice cream snacks are included in the price of your ticket. So save lots of room for snacking while walking around the park.

Crossing the bridge into Tomorrowland
This is why I love the After Hours event – you can capture the most amazing pictures
I love Walt & Mickey at night
‘Maleficent at Night’ – She makes her way around the hub to show off her fire at night – absolutely jaw dropping!
Stunning opportunities for castle pictures
“Villains Unite the Night’ – This castle party happens 3 times during the event and gives you a chance to see some of the most iconic Disney Villains.
Hades & Meg (Hercules) & Jafar (Aladdin)
The ‘Farewell’ is something you won’t want to miss. Many villains are there to see you on your way out of the park.
“It’s not right for a woman to read. Soon she starts getting ideas and thinking” – Gaston – ‘Beauty and the Beast’ – “I warn you, child – If I lose my temper you lose your head! Understand?” – Queen of Hearts – ‘Alice in Wonderland’ – “Time for vicious practical jokes” – Wicked Stepmother – ‘Cinderella’ – “I live for furs. I worship furs! After all, is there a woman in all this wretched world who doesn’t?” – Cruella DeVil – ‘101 Dalmations’
“Death is the only adventure you have left!” – Captain Hook – ‘Peter Pan’
Amazing views after the farewell
Don’t forget your villainous picture of the train station out front

My overall opinion of the night is that it was worth the money. It is always fun to enjoy Magic Kingdom with less crowds and to be able to do some of the bigger rides. I also enjoy watching the new shows and of course the snack choices.

There are still 8 more nights that you can join the Disney Villains for the After Hours party. June 20th & 27th, July 1st, 11th, 18th, & 25th, and August 1st and 8th. Let me know if you would like to head to Magic Kingdom for this After Hours event and I’m happy to help you with your tickets. I’m also happy to help you plan out your evening so that you can get as much done as possible during the party.
